German shep, pitbull, Belgian Malinois, Doberman, boxer, cane corso. All great dogs in what your looking for. But a Belgian Malinois and German are the ones I would choose out of the rest.

This is going to sound kinda stupid but Daschund are great guard dogs. They sound like bigger dogs and if they get ahold of someone they will never want to come back anywhere near the house. We had one who sadly died of old age a few years back that ripped up the metal of good shovels and sent a trainer to the hospital when the trainer decided to use the small dog bite guard. The guard was about as useful as tissue paper. They tend to be a one person dog (usually taking to women) and will like a few select other people. They are also really smart and can tell the difference between a stranger that is welcome (if introduced) and an intruder.
