Whats the craziest risk you've taken in fishkeeping? Heres mine...lol

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If your tank is sitting perpindicualr to the floor joist, I dought you'd have a problem. My 180 gallon 6' tank with 900 pound cinder block stand is currently sitting on a framed wood sub floor.

That will be Miguel, hence this thread is for him....lol

I have a 220 on a wood 2nd floor. It has been set up for almost a year now. Haven't seen any sign of a problem yet.

I have a 55g, 5 10gs, 2 20-longs, and a 29g on one wall in my bedroom, on the 2nd floor. The 55g covered my closet door, so my clothes are trapped forever. Luckily, I removed most of them before the tank got there.

My biggest risk, however, would be walking 5 miles to get to my LFS, when I had no car, and walking 5 miles back, in 95 degree heat, with three bags of fish. T___T All but one lived.

No way to take a Taxi when all your money goes to the 3 F's. Fish, Filters, and one unmentionable-F.

lol, see if you can erect a stone column directly below it on the first floor
