it should be riding at least 6 joice probably 7. 8" away from load bearing wall puts it 32" away from the mounting point. thats like 350 lbs. per joice on 16" to ceneter of load. i think that is totally acceptable. but once again i have been wrong

I have a 150G(72*20*24), a 100G(48*20*24), plus a 45G(36*15*19) and 35G(36*15*15) on a dual stand in my second story bedroom. 
Mig - Why dont you share your situation like I did to INSPIRE people to go MONSTER hence others will not get smaller tanks out of fear?

I had a 150g on a wooden floor, running in line with the joists on an outside wall. It was set up for over two years with no problems. The house is up on poles so I could walk under it to keep an eye on the joists, which showed no sign on stress.

The issue is one of "concentrated load". Normal modern concrete pavements can stand it. The problem are the irregular movements that for instance an earthquacke can induce....
