I also agree with only 1 FX5 unless your bio load is crazy. I've used one on a 120 with moderate bioload with no problem. I also agree that you may create deadspots though , FX5 is only 600 gph so in a larger tank it won't generate much movement.

Redearsunfish;5154668; said:I hear you. Its just that I want a super-duper filtration on that extra high 110, know what i'm sayin'?

If your tank lacks in clarity, i suggest a Magnum 350
Bderick67;5155261; said:Is you tank a 110 with a 48x18" footprint? If so with two FX5s you are not going to have any dead spots.
aclockworkorange;5155323; said:True maybe (depending on tank decor), but you're basically paying over $200 for a 600gph powerhead. You can get a 600gph powerhead for $20. It makes no sense from a money standpoint, and I recall a thread by Redear complaining about money and tanks.
I got my 125 on craigslist complete with an XP3 for $140, for perspective. That's a whole other used tank, and then enough left over to fully stock it, for the price of an additional FX5 YOU DO NOT NEED.
I'm starting to see why people are getting a tad annoyed by you, Redear.
