What's the most grusome death one of your fish has suffered?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
had an 8 inch senegal bichir jump sometime in the night when i woke up i found him behind the tank he must have squirmed for awhile cause where he was lying all the paint was gone from the shelf. also had a tire track eel jump ship woke up found him on the carpet still moving i tried saving him but he was too far gone

had a rainbow shark jump out of the tank and get eaten by our cat- he musta been hungry

had a brand new (had it like less than a day)arowana that we spent like $100 on (I know not an expensive one, but the first fish over like 20 bucks we've bought) and we think our oscar ripped its stomach out and it was too weak to swim and it got stuck in the filter damaging it further- fish store didnt replace it or give us our money back- such a waste of money!

My juvi EBJD got ich and an internal parasite that made his stomach expand like a balloon and got extremely dark for about 3 days then popped and lay at the bottom of the tank with an open stomach trying to breath for half an hour. It was terrible and all the time I couldn't find the net.

My gourami had a stomach parasite. I thought he was just fat until I realized he was puffing up too much and his stomach was ripped open and he could barely move.

That blows. But as someone who has lost his fair share of fish to filter accidents, I can tell you it most likely wasn't the Oscar. When a fish gets stuck in a filter, the body cavity gets ripped out before anything else, almost every time. He probably got stuck in there and just got sucked clean by the filter :( sorry for your loss.

Has to be my 2 ft Fire eel
It escaped from my tank, slithered under a plastic on the floor which I left there because I just emptied feeders into the tank.

Didn't know he was under and I squished him to death by stepping on him >.<" His his innards spilt out >.<"

Hmm, where is the dude who chopped his fish's head off and ate it?

Whole tank Died from neglect, buddy was house watching for a month. Came home water level was too low to be filtered, my filters were just sucking air. Bad smell hit me, all my fish were dead.

Daveys- Mayans cichlids
Gokusons- Festae ( crashed my new car driving to maryland for that fish)
My Gar were the worst i raised them from babys, they were older than my kid. I walked away from the hobby for a while after that.
