Whats the ULTIMATE freshwater monster.

Just based on size (not aggression): Mekong giant catfish.

I guess it's not the ultimate one but you have to appreciate the girth and monster size.
 
Would be more interesting if it was "ultimate freshwater AQUARIUM monster". Obviously a full grown GATF is one hell of a fish, but the fact is in the aquarium they grow rather slowly, are prone to smashing into the glass, and rarely (ever?) reach their full potential. Something like a dovii on the other hand grows like a weed, doesn't tolerate other fish in anything other than massive tanks, huge personality/attitude with a set of teeth to match.

In that case, I'd like to enter my Oscar :rolleyes:

its been established tigerfish can take these and other heavys down
 
it seems there are huge tigerfish around, but u have to look to find them. its very possible that some low posters have these, but never really show them off.

did I say the mekong giant cat was the ultimate fish? They live in the opposite side of the world. Give me the links to prove that.
