An adult Goliath tigerfish owns anything in freshwater and will destroy 98% of everything in saltwater. Those fish are SERIOUS predators!

I don't think its top kick because I like it, I like it because its the top kick. :p

Its the ONLY thing in freshwater that has the weapons to take out the big cats or an arapaima. The only thing I doubt its ability to kill is a gator gar thanks to the ganoid scales. Simply put, a large adult GATF has the tools to kill any other large fish in freshwater except for the biggest gator gars and has more than enough maneuverability and speed to evade the smaller fish that could compete against it.

A fish this powerful and maneuverable with such an incredible weapon system has the tools to effectively handle anything else. It is the epitome of freshwater predatory evolution.

Granted I do love them, but how can anyone argue their supremacy? It swims like a wahoo and bites like a tiger shark!
