I used to be into firemouths, but for some reason turned off of them?!?!
I liked them most for their breeding characteristics but i got Oscars instead, i think its because i only get fish that grow to over 20cm

What is wrong with my FireMouth Chiclids i feed them three times aday and i have a 60 gallon fliter on a 29 gallon tank.i Bought them because i thought they would be intresting but now i want to selll them for somthing new.Does anyone have ideas on freshwater 29 gallon semi aggressive but will leave my pleco alone

True that.....my male when he died...got beat up...sucked...anyway...he was almost a year and a half old and I swear he was show quality...absolutely loved him. Sooo much red, and NICE trailers! Almost tempted to get back into them, but all the ones i see for sale around here are not that hot...

A lot of cichlids need time to get used to the tank and establish territory before they get interesting.

maybe you should try a non cichlid like a bichir!

Bichirs are hella boreing compaired to most cichlids.

Africans aren't boring guy. They're really awesome infact. They're like a small soap opera type if kept it groups. You see them nipping everyone around and jockeying for territory and showing everybody who's boss. Africans rock.

If you want something that won't bore you, then you can try Oscars. They're supposed to be personable little suckers.
