its not native to anywhere, its a stupid hybrid! I'm all for flowerhorns and stuff but when people are crossing two fish within the same species thats just stupid. Its just washing out the genetics.

am i the only person who has no idea what you are talking about? LOL you just blew your foot up about 3 times in those couple of sentences...
you are ok with flowerhorn, but wait! when people cross two fish within the same species, it's sacrilege!!! oh no!!!
you need to read up on your flowerhorn literature before you make statements like this
:D

what was the issue here? it's a lyonsi and they stole the pic from rapps...? haha
was this an LFS in China? :D

Theres a few people on here with "red lions", they are just amphilophus lyonsi X amphiliophus labiatus and or citrinellus. I don't mind people crossing a parachromis species X amphilophus X veija or anything. But when you're crossing two closely related fish within the sub species its just going to look like a ugly version of one or the other.
That Rapps picture is messed up too, I've never seen a lyonsi that looks like that.

They are hybrids .They are only saying they look something like the lyonsi on the tag.If you look in the right top corner of the second pic, it says Red Lion Hybrid.I don't know why they would state they are native to Texas when they are hybrids though?

I'm going to go with "Sales pitch." :)
