That just goes to show that you have never seen a fullgrown specimen like the fish in Jeff's picture:ROFL:. And now you want us to all believe that all Lyonsi supposed to look dull like your half matured fish?:screwy:

I think you have proven your point........Ease up a bit....

Regarding Jeff Rapps photoshopping his pictures...... Well, the person who made that statement needs to back that *%&$ up with evidence! As far as I can tell, he's about the only guy who DOESN'T photoshop his photos. To imply he is doing so insinuates quite a bit....... most of which is negative and unfair.

I'm not the one doubting another's fish or picture:irked: One cannot judge a specie by the looks of a unmatured/fully grown specimen.:headbang2

I agree unequivocally.....

Only means I have of getting in touch with folks that will back up Rapp's photoshopping some of his photo's is a site I'm banned from for drunken rambling in a family chatroom.

Sorry guys - I'm not trying to bash the guy or bring any negativity to him. I personally own fish from Rapp's and they're some of the nicest fish in my collection. It's just what I've been told by people who are not only close friends with Jeff, but that have been in the hobby for many many many years and are literally walking encyclopedia's when it comes to cichlids.

I have no first hand proof - but I've never known these folks to lie, nor can I see any reason that they would say things like this about their own friends? I'd take it all with a grain of salt, personally it never affected my opinion of the guy in the least.

I don't know who these friends you refer to are, but I've known Jeff for years, kept cichlids for decades, and I see no picture on Jeff's site that looks remotely photoshopped. Heck, I bet he'd love to have better shots of his fish, but I'm feel certain he wouldn't go as far as misrepresenting his stock.

Go to his site and find a shot to back up your claim. Post it here and let us discuss it.

find me some pictures on the internet that look like Jeffs fish. All of them look like mine. Even the fish on mo's site look more like mine. The only time they look anything like rapps photo is when they are in their breeding dress and they still look more like mine.

Lmao six pages of pointless arguing... Camphilophus you seem to be implying that Rapps' fish may not be the real thing; hence the different colour. A very dangerous thing to suggest.
