Yeah, but probably not too healthy for the fishes ;)

yep this is whats suppose to happen.. they will live a while but there kidneys are probably going through alot as the way i understand it if there kidneys dont have to take out the salt they dont excrete there waste fast enough.

atleast thats what ive heard. if(i guess whens more appropiate since all things die) they do die i would appreciate autopsy to see there state of there organs, as im curious how much damage it actually does.

He mainly has groupers in fresh? I read somewhere that they can adapt to freshwater? I also saw an episode of Rivermonsters last night about how far can bull sharks swim into freshwater. The dude caught a 3 footer in fully freshwater and he also caught a monster grouper in freshwater. I believe it was in Australia. Google it.

Bull sharks can live on freshwater OR saltwater, i think the african tiger fish does it too. So there are other species that can actually do this. Some species of salmon does it too. These fish live like that naturally, they are NOT FORCED to live like that, it's their choice. but you basically forced your fishes.

i saw that! it was crazy cause the bull sharks were in like 5 ft deep water in this common river people go swimming in. i forget where it was though i kind of caught it in the middle of him catching the 3 ft shark.

but back on subject of thread... your an ***. how many gallons is that tank? and look at your water cloudiness, there is no way your fish are healthy. $hitty looking water. healthy and thriving fish = nice clean healthy looking water and yours is far from it. plus your tank looks overstocked ten fold. ridiculous... people like you make me sick. lets put him in a room the size of a jail cell, with murky water from the faucet as the only available liquid to drink, feed him only peanut butter crackers and lets see how long you survive. i would give you about a year so expect to start losing fish soon! fish that most of us would love to have and you dont seem to give a $hit about their health. i think if they were put into the PROPER conditions they would literally learn to talk and say thank you for saving their lives everyday. just cause something can "adapt" to certain conditions doesnt mean its happy, healthy or thriving.

Doesn't saltwater make freshwater fish shrivel up and vice versa?
Well good luck on keeping them alive. You should slowly acclimate the fish back to their normal conditions but good luck.
I'm not flaming or anything.
