Ive heard of people keeping rays with discus with no messy outcome

I kept this combo for a good two years.

Rays can still suck fish eyeballs out!!!

=(

Awesome Ray! Dose anybody know of compatability with Motoro rays and Giant Gouramis (Osphronemus goramy) I have a 22 inch female that I am seting up in a 180 gallon aquarium.

I just had one my smaller discus disappear. Although besides my 4 rays the other culprits could be the 12" achara cat, the 10" mystis cat, and a 10" RTC/TSN hybrids. I have learned my lesson with tank mates after losing a school of cory cats and a school of geophagus that I thought was big enough. guess not. Although I've never seen an attack that vicious. He's a keeper.

i have tinfoil barbs thats working well

4 x gold tinfoils and 3 x twin tail tinfoils all about 10 inch

as with any fish you have to be carefull but as for the discuss thing i thought i would mention that a good few years ago i came across a lovley ray that was unfortunatly blind after being kept with several discus ( the discus had eaten the rays eyes if it wasnt clear )

the ray seemed to manage well enough but not what any of us would want for our rays

^ EEK!!!

My male marble just tore the face off of a flagtail:irked:...And I was worried about the flagtail being eaten by my big aro:nilly:. I knew I was taking a chance so I'm not too upset.

Sorry...no pics.

keeping any tankmate with rays and aro..always boils to te size and also the temparament of the rays and aro.. some may work..some endup in disaster.. so far, i never lost any tankmate to rays as their size are too big to be eaten or to be captured by the ray..they were kept from small together with the rays..
