  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Please keep in mind that these threads are REALLY old and that the ray keeping hobby (along with myself) have advanced some since this thread started....

Save your money mate & give up trying to find fish that will mix with the motoro.
Once they get a taste for killing there are not many fish that you can keep with them.
The only ones I've had any success with long term are arows, large dats & doradid cats, all the others don't normally see out the 1st night :(

OUCH.. nice ray, but poor Cichla.

Not to mention the buddy with Frt, Black Aro victims. That must have hurt.

wow...i really didnt know that rays were predators...i thought they were just scavengers and would inverts...

I realize that rays will get into mischief when bored. A bubble section and current and tank mates with spikes or armour seem to be the best way to go.

Flashy fast defenceless fish won't last long.

I've lost 3 angle fish, 5 FFs, 1 small patin cat, a silver barb and a small pleco. A mid size pleco, bigger FF, CLs and Dats have been semi snacked on and deemed unyummy.

THANKS ALL!!!

:( sorry for your loss gr8

fire eel????

it's like godzilla on the loose in there! :D

Its a henlei, shes around 14" or more. Heres a pic of the cichla she mauled, I thought it was large enough & strong enough to survive but I was wrong :(

If it was 14" it would have been but it looks about 8" tbh.
