Yes sir, I was going to buy a 180 but the frame was extremely outdated and cracked and the whole tank needed resealed. I couldn’t find a place to sell replacement frame blah blah so I just ended picking this up for $100

Nice grab. One nice thing about the 75 is that you can convert it into a sump for your larger tank once you buy/build it.
I want to start on it this summer but I’m still trying to decide if I want to build or buy because I found a place that sales 72”x30” for less than a grand. And I’m not the most handy person. Lol but I could always force my dad who is a carpenter to come in to town for a few days haha
Hmmm. I am a big...... my time is worth money person. Soooo with that being said I still wish I'd have built a tank instead of buying my 180. Two main reasons it would have been larger and I'd probably have spent about the same amount depending on glass.
If you do build it you should do a build thread, if your dad builds it video it and put it on youtube
Yeah I have been trying to do some calculations myself luckily 1/2inch glass isn’t too expensive for a 72”x24” piece of glass I got quoted at $160
Oh yeah absolutely. I love documenting. I’m building a stand and canopy for the 75 so there will be a thread for that.
My problem was If I'd built it it would have been an 8' view panel 104x24x34. I guess that's not really a problem. Lol
