just think of how much extra money you have if you stop smoking ...... money for cool things ...... stress relieving hobbies ........ bacon

But then you end up on a street corner, asking for spare change. Holding a sign that says "Will work for bacon". Its' just another dirty addiction that you should never start.

ive tried to quit befor but i get mad and very difficult to be around, my girl friend and other friends don't smoke and they all claim i act different when i smoke ciggerettes btw

My thoughts exactlly. But I have smoked since I was 12 and I want to quit so bad. The longer I go the easier it seems to be, but then I go to work...

i'm proud to say, smoking is the devil, and i don't smoke.
no devil for me, kk? lol.

I smoked for 27 years and was at two packs a day. I tried so many times and usually was such a jerk about it everyone said I'ld never do it. Home was easies since no one else smokes but a lot do at work. Everytime I would get mad at work and think about picking one up I would look at who I was angry at, usually the boss. I would take a deep breath and think, you are not going to beat me. It got easier by the day. Good luck to those who are trying. The only advice I could give is that you will never quit until you want to. Any other reasons like health, family, money, etc. will not work unless you want to.

congradulations... that you have had success.... my brother in law and sister could not do anything in a day without a cigarette hanging out of their mouth... and if they can quit i know anyone can... it just takes the want and desire.. which i know is not easy...so all of you who made it should give yourselves a pat on the back...

took me about 5 weeks to kick the habit after 20 years and 2 packs a day..the patch and tubs and tubs of bubble gum worked for me..really nothing works if you dont REALLY want to quit..i now spend the $10 a day paying for fish food rather than cigarettes..:D

congrats to all of you. I've never started. The two biggest success stories I know are of my great-grandfather and my friend's dad.

Gramps started smoking when he was 11. He stopped 8 years ago at my grandmother's request at the age of 95.

Friend's dad smoked 2-3 packs a day. One day my friend (was 4-5 at the time) pulled a cigarette out of his dad's mouth. The dad was so mad he slapped my friend down to the floor, and before he hit him again he realized "i'm actually going to hurt my son over a cigarette!" Never smoked again. It's been 17 years
