I agree, most classified sites (eg Kijiji) that I look at have people selling nothing but used equipment for either brand new prices or above...not worth it...

I find the prices on Craigs list high ESP for used stuff might as well buy new for bit more and have gaurantee.

I never priced fish tanks as not going to buy used tank but metal stands, etc was overpriced for used.

It seems for tanks its good as many here use them .

Louie, you might be able to rent truck from Uhaul pretty cheap. And yeah, I really like the Walmart 55 gallon, I have two. Very cheap, does everything I need. They just don't have anything bigger :(.

That's awesome that some of you guys have found good deals on CL. Whenever I look I see people selling stuff priced above even new stuff. Maybe I have to haggle with these people, but I would have to go a long way. This seems ridiculous to me, I bought my whole kit from Walmart more than $100 less, brand new.

I am going to have it delivered as with renting UHaul and than have to find someone to help me as no way my wife can do it lol.

Its just a bit more money but no headache so will go that way.

A 55 never mind 55 kit for $100 is great as 55 alone is roughly that .

I lost ALL respect for the Tenecor company after they started marketing "pedicure tanks" for doctor fish... way to feed the beast guys.

glasscages is great for good prices. I just got a 240 from them...they start at 625 I think and you can get overflows and holes ...they also sell starphire glass.

craigslist. all the way. $100 for an 85 with everything i needed and more. like 6 heaters, air pumps, lights, a bio filter, 5 canister filters (forgive me i dont know the brands, but i saw one that i had in the lfs and it was $150; and they all work.) and the guy was nice enuph to fill the tank with water so i would know that it wasnt leaking or anything like that.
