With glasscages there is a good chance you can meet them and pick up the tank to save on shipping cost. I was able to meet them for my 240l and a 75 and I picked them up for 100 bucks. Look on there site and see where they are going to be when...
check classsified section of papers, forums, yard sales, buy/sell on different sites. also ask the local lfs if they have any large tanks that they arent using and would like to clear up some space for cash. good luck. btw glasscages is really good.
I can't say I'm in favor of that paticular use of the little carp (garra rufa) aka 'Doctor Fish'. I guess it's a personal choice. The phenomena has spread from Turkey & Indonesia to the U.S. & Canada & is continuing to grow. Unlike overseas, most state & county health regulations prohibit the use of 'communal pools' for these 'treatments' as is common abroad. Individual tanks (usually acrylic) are required for these salon & spa owners to operate. Tenecore, one of the largest custom acrylic tank mfgrs. , seems to have made a profitable decision to fill a void by supplying a demand. Whether you like or dislike the use of 'Doctor Fish' is debatable, but in all fairness, you can't fault a tank mfgr. for doing what they do ... making custom tanks to suit a need. The need could be a display tank like the one in my living room or a 10,000g exhibit display in New Ctr. Mall or a commercial wall display at your LFS or the little individual tanks for these salons & spas. JMPO, "T"
