which canister filter??

Are you planning one leaving the two AC110s on the tank along with the canister. IME the two ACs are more then enough filtration for your stock. If adding a canister with the ACs then a XP3 will add some extra bio but not much mechanical. The FX5 would add additional mechanical plus 5.9 liters of bio will be more then enough to support that tank without any modification if you decide to make that the only filter on the tank.

Never have owned any of the cf500s, wasn't very impressed with the results I found on then while researching them.

Where are the eheim groupies? They normally have chimed in by now. ;)

Ive got 5 of the CF filters and have had them for some time now. Not an issue ever. Actually pretty decent. I also own an FX5. It to is pretty good. Personally you can never have enough filtration. Id recommend either of the two.

I have been using FLUVAL since the 1980's...........It was my first canister filter, when the canister was clear orange color...........I recently jumped into DIY wet/dry filters.........It works...........

FX5 is a good filter, but it has limited bio capacity because of the lay out unless you do a mod (this is comparing it to eheim, im not as familiar with the other filters you are looking at). Are you planning on keeping the two aquaclear filters in addition to a FX5?

yes keeping the 2 ac110's and adding in the fx5

When shopping Craig's List...what you want/need is not always available when you need it. Especially if you want something specific as an fx5 aquarium canister filter. Craig's List is not Walmart...where you can log in any time and get exactly what you want.;)

You need to constantly scan Craig's List everyday...and when something specific shows up that you want...then you pursue it. Even then...the item may get sold to someone else...or the seller may have listed the item at too high a price...and not willing to budge.

If you want something now...then you have to pay full retail. If you want something used...at a great price...then you have to shop Craig's List day after day till it shows up (or possibly e-Bay). But e-Bay prices will most likely be higher.

I also have an fx5...they work great...and at a good price.

Good luck.:)

thanks yea i search everyday for aquarium supplies not just filters never really anything ...
