Which Dovii, Costa Rican or Nicaraguan?

What do you think looks better a Nicaraguan or Costa Rican Dovii. Also if you have one post a pic along with which region it's from. NO PHOTO SHOP PHOTOS trying to get a true representation of the two. Any other info....length, size of tank, flash or no flash when pic was taken and anything else you want to add. My male F1 Costa Rican, 5", no flash just put him in his 125 Gal.

i think the nics look alot nicer imo. ive seen the ones on here and when you do google images the nics just look nicer to me with that deep blue. all preference though.

the nics display a nice blue on all there fins and the middle or top of there back while the costa ricans display a more golden/yellow color on there body with lighter blues or greens on there fins. its all what you like

I prefer the nics, the blue is what drew me to the dovi to begin with.

Sweet fish, i just bought 4 dovvi's. They are only 1.5 inch right now, im soo excited to grow 1 or 2 out!!! Never owned dovvi's before!

Heres a random pic (from a crappy camera) of 1 male Nic I had at the top and the rest are pics of Davey_8313s pair when I had them...Costa Rican. I grew them out from about 1 inch fry. The female was the most beautiful female I had ever had or seen. Funny how he ended up outgrowing her. They spawned at around 4 inches and her growth slowed down.

I voted for the Nics. Female CR's may be a bit prettier than their Nic counterparts if you like their bright yellow better than the more subtle colors of the Nics, but the Nic males are much better looking to my eye. There's not many (any?) cichlids that can match the iridescence of a fully grown Nic male!

(.....and I've got adults of both!)
