Post some pics of both....I would like to add a Nic in the future as well...it will be a little while though.

Don't have a recent pic of the CR. Will get one when I can. The Nic is in the media section.

i dont understand why this thread got moved to the media lounge. members are giving there opinons and which fish carries what traits. this section if for photos only. i think this entire media lounge seperated from the other is stupid. some thread get moved that are more informational then other ones that stay:screwy::screwy::screwy::screwy::screwy:
 
My favaroite is nicaraguan. Here is a picture of my male. Just looking at the tank the color spektrum is more like the "altered" photo than this one though.

I thought nics were blue and CR's were yellow

So what is a CR blue?

Conkel is selling two varieties from different locations in Costa Rica. One is the "blue." It's the Rio Heredia type that has the yellowish sheen to the males (and, of course, the females which are universally more yellow).

I would say the Nics are more blue-purple or blue-aqua......tough to really say, and therein lies some of its attraction.
 
Still one of the nicest looking cichlids. Awesome colors on both females and males.
