Although I think the elongatus has the most impressive set of choppers.....Serrasalmus Rhombeus their size and black coloration is just way to impressive.

what size tank are you getting or do you have?
but if you can get wild reds, that's a bit different than the captive bred ones.
ok ive decided its either going to be a diamond gold piranha or a regular black rhom. lets work with that. any suggestions from these two?

Ok just curious to any gold diamond keepers, do they lose their light gold color as the mature into the darkish body with red eyes?

The gold diamonds I had were almost docile. What's strange is that most people will say they have the same temperment as the black ones, but from my experience with the ones I had I don't find this to be true at all. I really recommend you get a black or black diamond, anywhere from 3-7" preferably a little towards a bigger size if you can afford that because they grow slow.
