Oscars are so responsive but then so are Jaguars. They are so close in terms of intelligence that it just comes down to the individual fishes I.Q.
I went to lfs yesterday, and picked up two jags and a red devil, all about the same size 3", I paid so damn cheap for them here, $2-3 each;
And so I put them into separate tanks I made, questions : are jags just a carnivorous fish? only reacted them its a feeding time?
I noticed that the red devil is rather smarter compare to oscars and jags. Its the way the fish observing the things around the tank.
Yet, I also saw a bigger RedDevil in the lfs, and when I put my finger in the glass it follows wherever my finger goes. This is the kind of fish I rather have.
I was thinking of buying a GT as well, but dunno much about the fish characteristic.

jags are better IMO and much smarter. the oscars that i've owned were just gluttonous pigs and their only goal in life seemed to be getting fed lol
