Which one S. manueli to choose? :)

I'm sure you have also a Manueli, your fish will surely color up just later than mine. My fish 7 months ago had light orange cheeks, there was no red color, the pic below was taken 7 months ago:

torcombro yours is definitely 100% manueli. don't worry about the colors...that will come out eventually. make sure your water parameters are excellent because manuelis are more sensitive. give it at least 60 gallons of swimming space and you'll see that it'll have better coloring and and more aggressive. looks like yours is about 4 inches...very nice specimen you have there.

Do they prefer water with strong current?
Can you tell me more about the suitable water parameters for manueli?
Do you think manueli like wider tank or longer tank? how about the water height? deeper better?
manuelis like strong current and excellent water parameters so make sure you buy the best filters you can afford. there is no such thing as over filtering a piranha tank. i keep my water at neutral PH 7.0...piranhas love that. ammonia and nitrites are highly toxic but nitrates not so much...again, as long as you have excellent water parameters you'll be good. you're better off with a longer tank...they like to swim back and forth, not up and down so height is not an issue but obviously you'll need a tank that wider for them to be able to turn around when they get big.
