Which one S. manueli to choose? :)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've read that it will go away in due time, is that true?
I owned three silver dollars at once one time. One never hurt himself, the other two had terribly mangled lips and chins. I don't recall this healing, but I'm not sure with piranhas. Do you already have fish in the tank you plan to house the manny in?

No, there will be only a manny (if I buy him, I'm a little worried about his sensitivity) in that tank :) I've read on piranha forums that those chin bumps can heal on their own in most cases but I don't have an experience with that.

No one can gurantee it will heal, but it should. They have incredible healing capabilities. Just remember than personality and color of the piranha can change with the setup. I would just go with your gut on which one you would like.

It's caused by rubbing his chin up against something. It will heal as long as he doesn't rub his chin.

He is rubbing the divider made from plexiglass plate, the divider is all scratched by his teeth. I hope that the chin bump will disappear with time if the fish is alone in my tank.
