Are Palmas realy active??

P. palmas has three subspecies.

P. palmas polli is VERY active.

The other two, P. palmas buettikoferi and P. palmas palmas, not so much. they have their moments of activity, but usually are more of the laid back type that like to hide or sit there and look pretty.

I would say that it depends more on the individual specimen. I have seen brillinat specimens of almost every species here. It depends on genetics, diet, and care.

i have 2 palmas palmas, very beautiful but.... not at all active and i havent seen them move for months still alive though hehe

but dont forget about the Ornatipinnis, they get have some beautiful colors!

Nice bichirs. I never paid any atten. to them, looking at these Palmas... they are beautiful and going to try to get one (even if they are not active )

i like the ornates, but i havent had anything else, besides a senegal and you know they arent very colorful. those palmas palmas are awesome, though, so I might have to change my mind.

Some of my favs are buettikoferi and any that have green colouration, I think it looks great.
