i got the combo, i'm not sure how strong the rod is, i got snagged and decided to tighten down the drag and see if i could pull the hook out and the rod started popping and creaking and i thought it was going to break.

When you ant to pop out a snag, don't use the rod to do it. It is a good way to bust a rod no matter how expensive it is (had clients do this to $300 loomis rods). Eigther grab the line directly with a gloved hand and pull, or pull straight back with the reel (not good for the drag) without bending the rod.

yea thats what i did, i grabbed the face of the reel and pointed the rod at the snag so the rod didn't take any torque, i know better than that, i just wanted to see how much pulling the rod could take or if i could pull the hook out, i wasn't super impressed, although it was definitly the strongest rod i've used.
