i have the choice of either a flowerhorn or black belt both stocked in the same shop to share a tank with a large male convict and juvenile carpintis.
which would you choose

well...I personally do not really like either, but it is what you like that counts. I would just buy a sen or somehting haha
well it is what ever makes you happy... but maybe some sort of catfish/pleco if you don't have one yet... that would be a cool addition depending on the size of your tank!! my buddy has an upside down cat that is pretty cool, and there are a ton of different pleco.... how big is your convict? that is one of my favorite cichlids!! my texas grew up and killed mine unfortunately...

dont discriminate. FHs are here for a reason. No way a pure breed can compare. They are different. You discriminate, u are just keeping yourself from the coolest fish. your loss.
I suppose I would go Black Belt given the choice . . . both will grow fairly large, but from what I've heard, adult FH can be difficult in community situation, seem to do better on their own
