dont discriminate. FHs are here for a reason. No way a pure breed can compare. They are different. You discriminate, u are just keeping yourself from the coolest fish. your loss.

IDK why you think that FH is better than a BB cichlid, it isn't even a "high quality" FH. I'm not discriminating, I can say whatever I want, your'e the one discriminating.

FH's are here for silly reason, people can't appreciate mother nature so they screw with it and create hybrids that screw up the hobby and makes it so hard to get pure fish (that's how it's going to be one day.)

What do you mean pure breeds can't compare, they can bring so much more to the table than an ugly deformed fish like a FH.

Believe me, I'm not keeping myself from anything. I have Cichla, and I am perfectly content with "real" fish.

The best advice you've been given is that you should go with whichever one suits your preference. Either will grow into a large, aggressive fish. At the current size I would say that is a rather pretty blackbelt. I've seen some same size and even bigger with less color so I would say he has a lot of potential.

Sounds like you've already made up your mind and have picked the black belt. Good luck with him.
