That's just your opinion. In my opinion, almost anything is better than a FH (except for BP's). I have no problem with certain cichlid crosses, but when it gets to the point where you can't even identify which species were cross-bred to create your fish, it is just rediculous, imo.the animal guy;4401102; said:

Most of the FH's I see in LFS's are of a low grade and that one is questionable to me. Now if you had that blackbelt up against a better looking FH i would say FH all the way. I'm not overly fond of Blackbelts but out of the 2?
Just picked up a juvi blackbelt from the LFS today. I guess you already know my answer. If you want a FH, go through a respectable breeder.
thanks for your input people,i think i will go with the black belt,gasha my convict is about 6".i will eventually get a cat or a plec but will hold out for something nice.the black belt is up for 35 pounds and the fh 15.
Honestly, If I was going to get a large aggressive cichlid like a FH or Black Belt I would just get a Jag or a Freddy instead. I know that wasn't one of your options, but perhaps its something you could look into. At the end of the day though, it's all about personal preference and what will make YOU the happiest.
