Yeah I'm trying best to supply oxygen but more oxygen supply leads to more water flow
Since I have baby fishes strong current can be more stressful
I will let u know as the ich disappesr
Don't know if you have a sump but you can put the air stone in there and also drop your water level in your overflow so it Is splashes more. Bubbles under 2mm are the best at adding oxygen to the water. Also just make sure the return are pointed at the top of the tank so there is a lot of movement and gas exchange

Yeh sure dude that's for the info

T Tj203 how is managing water parameters vis daily water changes daily that difficult when treating ich? Were you doing/mixing something special to your water prior adding to the tank?

just wondering since that’s not a difficult thing for me to do with city tap water while treatingich

Keeping the parameters in check was do able just had to watch them as I was filling. I do not do water changes on my tank. I have two sulfur denitateors and a algae scrubber that keep my Nutrients in check. I also have a continuous drip system set up that I turned off when I was treating the tank. With my system it was just time to do 30% water change would tank hours. 300 gallons is a lot to fill and drain. I am on a well so I do not need to treat my incoming water just heat it if I am doing a big water change and add Is sodium bicarbonate to keep the ph up as my well water is only 7.0 and I keep my tank ph at 8.10 to 8.20 Otherwise I can drip 15 GPH and the tank sits at 79 degrees.

If you have a small tank, the best course of action is to do large daily water change followed by medication dosing. You can actually cure ick without medication by rotating fish from tank to tank with clean water daily to physically remove all ick spores. Not so easy with large tank though so remedy that doesn’t require WC such as Paraguard is more user friendly.

If you read the email from the vet you don't want yo do very big water change because of the parameters

i understand your situation is more complicated than most with all the stuff you have running and the sheer size of your tank, but even doing a large water 80% change in 240/300g on a regular weekly or daily basis with city tap water on a simple fish tank won’t change parameters much. My TDS is only 50ppm above city tap water, and doing a large water change brings it inline with my source water so doing it had little effect on the fish. The more water changes are done and with more frequency, the tank parameters aren’t very far from tap.

I hate how paraguard starts to brown tint the water and make it cloudy by the 3rd or 4th day.

Salt would be the easiest for salt tolerant species and non planted tank since it’s more easily available in different parts of the world
