Who else is with me? Who else hates plecos???

I hate them. OK strong word but i strongly dislike them in every way.

Reasons:
They crap, ALOT!!! -I agree

Only a vast minority of them are "pretty" and those that are "pretty" are very expensive -IMO there are plenty of visually appealing species you can get for less than $40

They suck on polypterus!!! -Not all species, I have never had this problem with my sailfin which has been with my senegal bichir for almost 8 months

They barely ever move -depends on the individual fish, I have had some that I only saw at night and others that were out all the time

They look like a turd with eyes, most of them do anyway -I disagree, IMO the only fish that fit that description are SAL's and swamp eels

Go ahead and flame me, but those who agree post why.

Plecos rule!

You can get many cheap, good looking ones. Some are active. They look nothing like turds with eyes, except maybe common plecos. Turds aren't brightly colored and don't have fins. (Most, anyways.)

i am crazy about them... especially the real flashy ones... my adonis is so special .... but i cried when i lost my big old common pleco........ my plecos have always been so much fun and action.... they also take care of the bottom pretty well... whats a tank full of fish with out a pleco...

I don't hate any animal that lives on the planet. I think if you hate having one in your tank you shouldn't buy one and the feelings are probably mutual since i'm sure it doesn't want to live in a glass box either.
