Who else still uses buckets?

I cant believe there are so many of you out there that use buckets on your large tanks! Thats crazy.
50gallon trash tub from Home Depot, Pump, and some hose. Use the python to suck it out the front door. Then fill up the bucket with python, let it sit with the salt and conditioner for a while, then pump it in the tank. Isn't that the safe and hassle free way? Pumping the water strait in the tank with the python ( with adding in the conditioner) messes up your biological, i thought.

I use the same method you're using except I got a 35 gallon trash can. Now waterchange is not back breaking anymore.

i do mine with a bucket.. but im lazy so i just dunk the whole bucket in the tank...

I use a hose. I can do a 50% waterchange on my 75 in half an hour. Probably faster, if I had gotten a larger hose diameter.

I use buckets because i like the work out, and I can measure out how much the waste water to use as fertilizer in my garden.

i use a syphon and buckets on my 180g, and use the water on the plants outside :) its good coz your not allowed to use a town water to water the garden as we have water restrictions

I might use a 5gal bucket for my 20gal or 10gal if I am doing an extra waterchange. I use a python on my 300gal, 240gal, 180gal, 75gal, 40gal, 40gal. Too many tanks to use a bucket to do WC.
