Who got you started?

mY dad always had fish. Funny when I was little I can't remeber what he kept but I remeber the toys in the tank. I loved all that air driven crap.

My mom set up a 5g metal framed tank on the kitchen counter when I was 10.The guppies had babies and ever since then I have been facinated with getting fish to spawn in tanks

i remember i was lookin for some videos on peacock bass fishing on youtube... then i found this awesome video by the one and only dieselmack.. until then i never knew peacock bass were sold as pets.. and now im hooked. thanks dieselmack.

I dont really remember if it was my mom or dad, but I had a lot of 10's when I was little, and I just started reading and going to websites and all that.

Now Im obsessed and I have cash so I can buy more tanks!

I'm only 21 but i remember way back like 11-13 yrs old walking to the neighborhood canal and fishing for oscars. we had 2 in like a 29 or something with crabs and guppy's... and my mom had a 46 tall i think that we kept goldfish in for years. every since then i have had some type of aquatic tank(s). turtle, fish, attempted viquariums.

I helped my younger sister setup & maintain a small 20 gallon tank when I was in high school. Now my husband has a couple tanks that help take care of. IMO, he has rather boring fish (bumblebees & convicts) so I had to get my own tank. Now I have two Oscars, 3 clown loaches, and a handful of unidentified cichlids I inherited when I bought my tank.

My dad got me started. He used to have fish when he was younger and out of high school. I remember him telling me this at one of my sister's soccer games- that he used to have convicts, a red devil pair, oscars, an arrow (spelling?), GT, and others. He said that his biggest tank was about 350 gallons that he built himself.

When he got married to my mom, he got rid of all but one 110 gallon. And when we (me and my sisters) were little, he would let us watch him feed the fish live feeders..

Mom didn't appreciate that

My mum bought my little brother a 5gal tank with two goldfish about 3 1/2 yrs ago, he got bored after a few months so I took over and bought a 30 high and a 55

mine actually started from a 40 gallon empty tank my dad had.

it never really started as a fish tank, but as a turtle tank.
