Then I moved... Current room is a work in progress. Here is my thread on the whole thing from living in my parents basement and remodelling it up till now working on the basement in my new house.:

lol, true

good luck with the new tank cant wait for pics

Here is the stand. Almost done. Need to add wood veneer and doors. Was able to squeeze in a 100 gallon acrylic sump with 2 7" filter socks, reeflo dart pump, and an ultima 2 1000 unit. Will add two fluval g6 canisters on the left side of the tank (intakes will be all the way to the bottom of the tank to pick up poo and all uneaten foods). Will have two aqueon powerheads on the lower right side of the tank to direct all uneaten food towards the g6 intakes.

Here is a pic of one wall of 40 gal. tanks in my fish room. These are the grow out for my big tank. I also have 2 90's and another 4 40's in this room. I also have 3 other larger tanks in another room.

Talk about fish rooms make me want to move back north where we had basements. In Los Angeles we don't have basements so as you saw in this thread you have to use your living room if you are lucky enough. I currently have 2 tanks setup in my house and would love more but will wait until I get a bigger house. Right now my plan is for the goldfish to go into a pond outside and my 20g tropical to go into the 55g. We'll see what I do with the 20g from there. If I had a basement, it would be filled with every cheap tank I can score on craigslist and wall shelf units all the way around with a nice couch in the middle. Oh, and also probably a piggy bank to help save for the electric bill.

Nice looking tanks and rooms everyone!

The thing about having all those tanks is your water and electric bill increases but I'm sure paying an extra few hundred dollars is month is worth it.

I have 14w fluorescents in the fixtures.. i think the heaters cost more. This week we will be putting in a centralized sump system and the heaters will all be coming out of the tanks reducing the heater wattage by 1200 watts. This should help the modest electric bill come down. If i was worried about the cost of owning these tanks i'd be in trouble as the 5385 gal. tank i'm building downstairs would probably cause me to have a seizure! :nilly:

I used to when I was in a house, now I don't have as many tanks, I keep one in the dining room and two in my bedroom now, if I ever own a house again I will have a very nice one.
