Who hates Win7?

7, just like every other OS that MS has come out with, is over rated. 3 years from now, it will be the next newest, latest, greatest OS from MS.
Windows 7 uses the same, or less resources then windows xp...it also effectively downscales to even poorer resources.
My laptop came with windows 7. When I got it, I went through it and stripped everything that I didn't need. Used CCleaner, AutoRuns, Process Explorer to find anything I didn't need loading.
Here is a quick personal comparison. I had a desktop, still do, that has win 2000. 700mhz, 512mb ram, 7200 rpm hdd. That computer was WAY faster during startup and program launching than Win 7.
Now I bought this laptop because of the specs and price, its not nearly the best but good. 2.4 GHZ dual core processor, 4gb ram, 7200 rpm 200gb hdd. With these specs, any XP system I have used would fly....Win 7? Nope, just basic windows 7 has an entire list of processes running in the background. GARBAGE!
Windows XP is WAY faster on every machine I have used than Win7.
Vista Sucks.
Windows 7 has way to many visually effects and bogs the system down on any machine I see that has 7.
Once I get a external HDD to remove some of the movies off my 2nd partition, I'll dual boot with XP.
I like a lot of the features on Win7 but its a resource hogger! My laptop uses 1.4 gb of ram just idling! wtf? now some of that is a few extras running but I have never had older windows use more than 500 Mb of ram....Win 7? Resource Hogger!
