Who thinks bubbles/bubble walls/air stones/bubblers are a necessity in a fish tank?

Anyone put there's on the sides? My dad just did it on his 75 and it looks great.

I had this happen to me when my pump intake was too close to the air bubbler. It would suck a few bubbles in and the return was pushing out very fine little bubbles making my water cloudy. As soon as I moved my air stone away from the intake the tank water cleared up.

It is a solid 10 inches away from my intake. Would it be better on the return side of the tank ? There is absolutly no little bubbles coming out of the return. Just on the right side of my tank for liek a foot sqaured. basicly top left of my tank.

I was considering this for my tank as its in the corner of my room. I would put it on the side with the wall so it covers the wall up .

I have done that :-) in a divided tanks' dead zone, or when some fish like the current less than others- so they can choose whether to be around it.

Right now mine is dead center, but when I get my UV setup I'll move it over to the side.
