That's basically what it boils down to. I'll fish for anything, even creek chubs if that's all thats around. I don't care what kind of fish it is, as long as I'm catching it.

Bass are good... but aint nothin like a 50 pound Steel HEAD!!!!!!!!:headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2

I don't know what I'd do with 50lbs. of chrome. Our rivers out here are small like 10 yds. across. I fish really light leaders so I don't even land 75% of the 10lb. fish I typically hook into.

somewhere in CA, where i live theres this place called 8 mile rd. every spawning season you could see hunderds of large mouth bass. size range for 10" to 2'. my friend caught a 15lb large mouth last week, hes planning on monthing it in his house.

that's my basic fishing philosophy but given the choice i'd rather fish for something else. bluegills are a blast when you've got 2lb leaders, a crystal clear pond and a container of worms, i love trout fishing in small streams(i love spot fishing) and i've never felt anything like the 12lb catfish i got but i'd say that lb for for lb the best fighter was a 16" striper i accidentally caught(didn't know they where around) when i was in montana i kept hooking something under the dock that would run for about 2sec before my line snapped, wish i could have atleast seen it.

I do like getting small mouth over large mouth. But they both go hand in hand
