No, the tripletails around here involve a 30-40 mile boat ride out to the weed lines in september. My 17' Mckeecraft is only good for about 20 miles out. Why on earth would you want a tripletail? Them things get huge!
Can anybody get juvi bowfin? That ones gonna be popular!

Well ,my favorite fish are the datnioides and the tripletail really resembles them. They were both even classified in the same family or genus at one time.I'm just learning recently that they grow as big as they do.I wasn't aware that such a far ride was required to get them either.

Well if anyone wants to make the trip I have pond raised brooks, rainbows and hybrids. Gotta catch your own.

I have had legal Musky and Northern Pike for the past three years when in season.Im lic.to sell in Il. I get the proper permits...Vhs,transport. As the State DNR s looks at this and many other sites to see who is dumb enough to catch and sell or trade native fish.

I cannot speak for others, but my fish are well, my fish. I would like to think that it it legal for the others to trade. However I have seen panfish for sale in IL before and in Green Bay WI I know of at least one shop that has perch and walleye (or used to) on a regular basis.

If you see a poster selling or buying a native illegally please do them a solid and pm the person(s) to show him or her the error of their ways. Or call em dumb, either way.

Well heres what I can get:
Bluegill
Green sunfish
Orangespot sunfish
Largemouth Bass
Longnose gar (Anywhere from 2" to 3')
Black and white Crappie
Common carp
Freshwater drum
Channel catfish
Blue catfish
Juvi and adult Flathead catfish
Various shiners and minnows
Central mud minnow
Brown bullhead
Various crayfish
Wiper (hybrid white and striped bass)
7" walleye
Buffalo carp

Thats all that comes to mind but I know I'm missing some, send me a PM if you want but you will have to tell me how to ship since I dont got the foggiest idea on how to lol

I did put up a warning at the beginning to make sure you were doing this legally. For myself, once a fish is detained in captivity, it ceases to be wild. Then, I can TRADE legally without a permit, as long as the species is not on the states prohibited species, such as piranha.

This is a great idea!

I can get:
Banded killifish
Johnny darter
Pumpkinseed
Brown bullhead (1" to 6")
Yellow bullhead
White suckerfish
Green sunfish
Chain pickerel (tiny ones)
Grass pickerel
Lots of random minnows & daces

Actually what I was catching in Central Illinois the past summer was Striped Bass Hybrid...They were really cool looking...Once it warms up maybe I will try and get a few pictures up
