But that is not the case, here we have the "fish hoarders", we need more MONSTERFISH KEEPERS and less impules buyers.

Look at the threads here that have mature fish, very few, and most of those are ones that people have bought mature. Enjoy the hobby, raise your fish, learn about the breed..............patience, try it, you may like it.

Personally, I like to buy, grow out, breed, then sell or trade. It's in those transactions that I've met lots of interesting people who share my interest in fish keeping. Besides, I don't eat dog but I do eat fish. I hear Pbass tastes great!!!

I think PBass is 75% Fad, Don't get me wrong there is people that are true keepers, But there far and few between.. Also there is a ton of True Monster fish keepers that have no interest in breeding ect.. I'd love to see some body breed my Goliath ATF's.. Or my 20'' tigrinus? But there is plenty of different way's of being in the hobby.. I love getting new stock.. But i could care less if people like my fish.. I've only owned 2 PBass and bought them both to sell and make money.. Because there very hard to find in Ohio.. With out shipping. But i must agree i think alot off these Kid's that are all the sudden PBASS whores.. Is a little crazy, They see R1RIDAH and just try to be that.. But there's only one PBASS king.. I would like to see people like what they like.. Not what all the other people like.. JMO

im pretty sure ive seen 24-26" monos and orinos.

A lot of people buy the fish so they can show it off or say I have so and so...but they have it in a 20g tank. They don't do their research. Cichla are a good example of this because they don't start getting their colors and really showing off their 'personality' until a certain size, which a lot of people dont have the patience for.

Then there's the ones that will stock up to try and resell at a higher price later...

So...whats the next 'fad' fish...It all cycles. GATF should be coming in seaon soon so get ready...IMO it will be Barra's...again.

Why cant it be that some of these people do buy what they want ?I was into cichla a few years ago,back when I was only aware of the two most common species,I sold them and moved onto other fish over the years and a few years ago I saw R1's picture of a Kelberi and became hooked on them but that does not mean that I or anyone else here is trying to be him.I buy what I like if I can get it and at some point for whatever reason it may go up for sale.I dont knock anyone for what they are into.These fish are on the for sale lists because there are more of them around now than there used to be and they are still pretty rare. You see the same thing with other fish from time to time.
