It's interesting that it is okay to feed our pets things made from animals but it is not okay to foretake ourselves.

Alas, try as we might, we are not producers; we like our fish; survive by terminate others :). That is our lot in life.

I think the confusion with the Oscar is that it was my father who wants to cook it with me. I am selling many of his fish for him And he asked me, should we actually eat the Oscar.

Your philosophical dissection of some people's personal food convictions does not mean you were justified in posting that pacu cooking video "for Pacu Mom". That was rude, crude, mean, inconsiderate and emotionally sadistic.
NOT about food. at all.

Facts straightened out...
"Whatever". that's about all.

I see all the ethical implication, but really, only one person raised the medical implications?

Many fish foods state they should not be fed to fish aimed at human consumption.
No fish foods regularly used in feeding hobby fish have been approved for feeding fish for human consumption.

The argument of how it's healthy as you've made sure it has been brought up well is bs. Unless you have thoroughly researched all the food you have fed it, all the additives you've added to the water as well as all possible diseases that could be transmitted from it to you, you're simply not sure it has been brought up safely.

But seriously now, can we stop feeding the trol? He might not be hungry enough to eat all his fish if we don't.

With all the warnings about not eating fish caught in certain local waters because of pollution, mercury, etc, I don't think that the consumption of processed fish food could be any worse.

this thread is really cool. much more discussion. Im sorry if i offend people by eating fish that we love so much.

But i do think this topic belongs in the community. We all love fish. i think it just shows itself in different ways, some are fisherman to eat some for sport. some breed for money some for the joy of it. stone Keep as decoration some as a best friend. and i guess i dont see an issue with eating a fish that i've raised to enjoy. its monster fish keeping. were here for the Fish.

good point tbh mate

couldnt actuallt bring my self to watch anymore of the video with the kitten having its head cut off!, its not even humane if you going to slaughter an animal do i properly imo the chinese are slightly twisted and have no repect for the animals they consume, there should be laws against it in china

and eating live fish??? really why??? would you go up to a cow in a field with a knife and fork and just tuck in?? i dont think so

Lol...no idea what her diet habit was before she stated it. As for pacu cooking, it's nothing exotic nor new; and it is a natural for a fish cooking thread. As for the rest, I'll add it to the rest of the adjectives people used to discribe me on the Internet...I have to say, sadistic is a new term; but alas, somehow leather whips are no really my style.
