^ +1 fishing is a bit different but raising to eat or eating because you got it think what a sweet fish I want it and now its huge and you cant afford a tank is completely different.

bit over board but same moral just might get it across better. your mother and father raised you, if they cant care for you normally they find better homes or try there hardest. they dont just smash you over the head with a brick and cook you.....

yes its just a fish but its alive believe it or not and if we want to keep them we should make sure they have a healthy and en-joyful life.
 
I don't see how raising a fish in a tank to eat is any different than raising fish in a stock tub for market or stocking a pond to catch and eat later. What about people who raise deer and pheasants for hunting purposes? Is that any different?
 
none but why do people have to raise fish that are more pets then food to eat and then post it on a forum where the majority of people here want to keep the fish not see it dead?

I eat meat, but If I hear people talking about eating dogs I dont agree with it also. some animals are treated like crap and raised to be fed so never have a proper life yes but why cant amazing fish like RTC etc be kept by people who can look after them rather then people who cant care them so decided to eat them later? Like there are 100s of fish you can go down to the fish market and eat most fish markets dont sell all the fish they have anyway so why not buy one of them and eat it?

Same with japan and the dam whales, this is how this stuff starts one person does it seems it tastes nice few years later none left.

I really don't see much difference between eating your pet fish, dog, cat, or eating chicken, sheep, cow that were slaughtered and purchased for consumption. But then, the thought of eating any animal is disgusting, revolting and repulsive to me....I've been a vegetarian for 57 years, and on a vegan diet for much of that time. My pets are safe here--they will never be eaten.
 
Altho we obveously have different beliefs. I respect you for living out your view point and not being hypocritical!
 
As for eating an animal while alive. That's torture and not something I want to be part of ever

Eating pet fish you dont want no more is ok. You know it was fed good and what not. Many will think its wrong but its not up to them what you do with your fish. I had a 14 inch zhul that i ate due to it dying not to long ago, i ended up putting that to good use in my tummy!

Tojo never replied to the issue I posted: Whether he told his dad that he would eat the oscar given to him.
If he says it was understood, then why the gifting of all dad's fish to start with? Get straight to family dinner.
Seems like the O was intended as a pet.

I'm not vegan or anti meat eating.
but the "in your face" social boundary button-pushing is deliberate, not innocent well intentioned "discussion".
