yea but you're a girl, it's different to get turned down.

i wouldn't turn you down if you asked me out, but i'd have to get permission from the wife first :(

yea must sort that wife out lol

i asked some bloke out about 6 weeks ago, he says yes but hes really busy atm, so we swap numbers and text each other everyday till 2am the next morning for about 3 weeks.
next thing i get a message on fb saying hes cheating on me...well theres nothing to cheat on.
lol hes going out with someone! didnt even have the wotsits to tell me.
but since iv found out hes actually really nasty so im better off out of that lol
i always get turned down, maybe im too forward, i make very innapropriate jokes that apparently ppl dont find funny lol instead...just scary. nyah, if ppl cant expect my sense of humour then screw em.

For guys if your friends know about that they will be on your back for weeks ahaha. I think getting turned down hurts men more than women :D

I've got a friend you should meet. She has exactly the same problem. IMO guys are more complicated then they let on and whoever does the asking is taking a risk. Some girls ask, usually the ones who are comfortable enough with themselves to soak the possible rejection and the same goes for guys.

The reason I didn't usually initiate relationships is because I found it puts guys off. Why bother asking if they are going to be afraid of me because I had the guts to ask when they didn't?

All in all I'd have to agree with the getting to know them better line of reasoning, and no one said you have to be in a long term committed relationship to be happy. It just happens to work out that way sometimes.

oh completely aggree. i think men and women r just as bad as each other lol.

neither of us can work the other out.

i just dont see the point in beating around the bush, so to speak, if we get on (i dont go out much so its usually ppl i know) and are always the last left when everyone else has gone home then it only makes sense to go for a drink together.
its the not knowing where i stand part.
but i think because im a single mum men always judge me that im only looking for a father figure for ellie. and because of the jokes i make they tend to think im a bunny boiler lol im really not, i personally dont believe in marriage and my child has her own father, therefore im being purely selfish lol.

Girls do, but in my experience... with myself and friends... we perfer the guy to ask us.

she asked me out but i kindly denied her. i said sorry mikes mom,im only here to drink. which was a lie.

the end
