if youre lookin for a bad *** pure bred, get an amarillo, well actually get a breeding pair for your 180;) rapps has a wild caught 10-12" breeding pair for $250. if i had a 180 id get them. amazing fish to keep in your living room.

I have one. Very nice fish. Do you have a link on the fish that Rapps has for sale. I have used don with cichlidbroker and ken with fishfarm. I haven't used Raps.

I buy a lot of fish * cuts open fish bag and dumps* but thats cuxz i have so much room right know and,,,,,..... its the dry season!!!!! that means all the best fish are catchable so my lfs always has new fish.
anyway I know what i want and dont get surplus fish. you need to know what nyou want and what you can care for.

I TRY to never buy a fish unless I have a plan to house it. I normally have a spare tank or two around I can use as temporary housing for that must have impulse buy.

i only have room for 1 tank and i always want more. at the mo i really want a knife fish and cant as i have a SA set up. i managed to convince my boss to let me set one up at work which is also a SA tank. my girlfriend does not understand exchanging fish and says that when you buy one its for life. i know what she means but sometimes they just dont get along, try convincing her though, nightmare.

to be honest she is probably the reason i dont bring anymore home, life is easier when it is peaceful

This is what I try to do as well. I have 1 55 gallon that I keep as a spare for pickups.

i limited myself to biotopes so i wouldnt impulse buy every cool fish i seen, only if it fits in my biotope and the tank my biotope is in! it worked for me.

its a PITA when you impulse buy a bunch of fish then you gotta get rid of them...
