why do MFK members love clown loaches?

Honestly, they have a very unique anatomy. They are more difficult to keep than many of the fish on the forum. They definitely add color to the tank. Their behavior in large groups is amazing. They engage in frenzied feeding behavior. They grow slowly, so finding and/or growing out larger specimens is a challenge. If you are willing to put in the time, money and effort to get a nice collection of larger clown loaches going, it's challenging and very rewarding.

Got to love them for being cute vacuum cleaners. But, more importantly, when you have a hoard of them they become CRAZY MONSTER CHAOS. Besides, its nice to give the other lazy bums (catfish/plecos) in the tank a reason to move once in a while.
They don't fight and eat each other like my other fish, they always get on. Sometimes I wonder why I bother keeping anything else...

that sounds about right. sometimes they will be a little less, but not by much
