Wow! now I kinda wish I had a bigger tank that'd be all planted up like that.

Can you tell me the plants you have in the picture? Maybe going from left to right, with descriptions?
Ill do a new thread a little later so I don't take away from this one. ;) Ill probably do it tomorrow cause Im too tired to fight with my mac about pictures tonight. lol Thats why it took me so long with the other ones.

Wow this is a lot more feed back than I expected. I can see in each of your situations how the tanks location is for the best, and I totally understand wanting to avoid a flood situation. I'm an artist (drawing, painting, not just aquariums) so my thought process begins with "where do I want to put this" and then all the details like size and shape fall into place according to the location.

Ok here we go, I know these worked. The last one is how it looked before I took it down.

aweone nice tank. Use you CO2 or a good lighting for plants 8 or 12 hour per day?

This is something that has been bugging me for a while and I need an answer...Why do some of you spend so much time and money on amazing aquariums but put them in the garage or a back room or an unfinished basement or other places they just don't seem to belong. For me If I'm putting the time and money into an awesome aquarium it's gonna be the center piece of my living room or family room, somewhere I love to spend time and the guests in my house are sure to spot it. An aquarium is living art and I just can't put it out of site.

Now I understand to each his own and if that is where you want your tank then that is fine but I just can't find the reasoning.

When a tank is too large to fit through a door, a garage door opening may be the only opening big enough to get a tank in. Other options for a big tank are to tear down a wall to move it in, build a room around the tank, or build the tank inside a room. These tanks and the equipment to move them won't fit through any door opening.

Im allowed to have big tanks in my house but I am limited to how many by my wife. Like with my taxes I plan to put a 240L in my dining room but then I have to take either my 100g or 75g out of our bedroom because my wife doesnt want to live in aquarium. She tells me she will go to one anytime though?!?!?!?!?!

I don't have a central air unit in my house and it gets pretty hot on the main floor in the summer but down in the basement the temps barely reach 80 degrees.I also have a drain in the center of the floor down there which has it's advantages.

Doesn't want to live in an aquarium?:screwy: If I had unlimited money I would build a house that had most of the walls built out of huge aquariums. Basically living surrounded by and under the aquariums and have the second or third floor for maintenance and pluming. What could be better than that!?:nilly:
