I love my little cories just wish they'd breed. Have had eggs but alas no babies Also have a few bigger species but for some reason partial to the cories they're just so damn busy all the time and cool to watch !!!
I always seem to get my cories laying eggs on the glass after a water change. Apparently if a large volume of cooler water is added this simulates the colder water ruuning down from the hills in their natural habitat and this is when they would normally spawn.
I keep a catfish cause he's crazy. I love my lil Pictus even though he's still extremely nocturnal, he allows me to see him hiding quite often during the day. He's probably the fastest bottom feeding fish I've ever seen in my life the way he zips around the tank scanning for food. His name, Ziggy.
I'd love to be able to keep a RTC X TSN one day, they're probably my favorite hybrid of all fish with exception to the Tiger Muskie.
I can't keep a lot of catfish because I'm too young but I like them because some respond to you, like my eupterus when it thinks it feeding time and they can hold their own while being peaceful.
I love TSN's they are majestic looking(once they put size on)I also like 4-line cats but once they get big they will eat all smaller fish. And most cats are very hardy!!Thats why i keep them.
Hey everyone. Just trying to start some interesting threads. Maybe you guys allready had a similar one before. I was just thinking it would be cool to hear why you guys like to keep catfish. For instance my goal is to keep at least one of each species of pimelodid catfish to maturity and beyond. What is your goal??
I keep them because there the next coolest fish from snakeheads. Seriously I fined large catfish fascinating from fishing for them to keeping them. And I must say my TSN/RTC cross is like a dog he knows when your in the fish room swims up and take the food out of your hand he is a proper character .
