2 years ago prices were really ridiculous. a nice specimen would cost you
a minimum of 500 upwards... Now the market as leveled itself and you
could get a nice fh for a few hundred.
Still more expensive as the cichlids next door but you have to consider that for every FH hatch there will only be a couple of specimens out of hundreds that have the potential to be real nice and out of that couple only 1 or 2 might turn up real nice. Consider also how long selective breeding took for the fh to achieve that look.
Some people think that there like a mixed dog and it is emproper breeding or what ever the word is but i feel fish are different its all about the look and there isnt much better then a flower horn...
I LIKE THE UNIQUENESS OF THE FISH, NOTHING ELSE IS THIS MEAN WITH DISTINGUISHING BODY CHARACTERISTICS. YOU CAN BUY A COUPLE FRY AND GROW THEM OUT IN A REASONABLY SHORT TIME, AND SEE WHAT U END UP WITH. THEY ARE ALSO REALLY EASY TO BREED.
