You must have heard wrong, the official world record is 22 pounds and some ounces - about 11 pounds short...

For Michigan

We have the best salmon and trout fishing this side of the US. We have King salmon, coho salmon, pink salmon, atlantic salmon, brown trout (new world record just caught here), brook trout, lake trout, and rainbow trout. Part of the salmon family we also have whitefish and lots of them. We may not have the biggest salmon but we have a very deverse fisherie that can be found no where else but the great lakes.


You have Atlantic salmon in Michigan?

I'm from Maine so I say Maine has the best fishing Doesn't matter where you live, if you can catch fish there it's the best fishing around.

Ive had some incredible red and black drum and wahoo. I grew up eating catfish out of private ponds all the time.

of corse there is altlantic salmon in MI, they stock them in the upper great lakes.
