Well Florida does have Goliath Groupers
hmm Idk I think that would tie, Goliath dosnt even compare to the fighting of a GT tho

I saw quite a bit of debate about Michigan, and being from Ohio I'll join in and say not just my Ohio or Michigan, but the entire Great Lakes region of the US and Canada. The largest contiuous body of freshwater on the planet, and the worlds greatest freshwater sport fishery. Salmon, trout, walleye, perch, bass, drum, catfish, burbot, sturgeon, and so much more. Nearly every freshwater sport fish is here, and anybody can catch fish; thousands of dollars worth of equipment and $30k+ boats are not needed to have a good time and bring home a tasty meal.

one sweet gt to be caught from shore ,we have caught them on boat but never from shore . very sweet

yeah, we do a lot of long distance shorecasting out here. no need to get wet.
i havent been out for a while, so im probably only casing 80 yards these days. but there are guys casting close to 300.
100yard casts are pretty much standard issue for ulua fishermen out here

i think each state has it's own unique fish that makes it fun. i really dont care where im at as long as i can fish and hunt

Exactly!

That's what I was hoping to hear - what is special or unique about the fishing where you are?
