OH forgot to add about Georgia also has shad runs up the Savannah river in the spring, and also has walleye in some deeper lakes.

all of it can be eaten even the clown knife fish on the east coast area and also lmb ,cat fish,peacock bass, tilapia . but hell my family are hillbillies we will eat almost anything we catch.
i think each state has it's own unique fish that makes it fun. i really dont care where im at as long as i can fish and hunt
